Things to do
In summer there is never a shortage of activities in and around Belfast! Friday night art walks are a must and often include live street performances (face painting, wandering poets, musicians etc…) to be enjoyed by all. Belfast Poetry Festival, Celtic Festival are also among the many offerings.
Sailing on a Windjammer cruise, kayaking, canoeing and biking are also quite popular.
Or, take a ferry to one of the many islands nearby. Main Street is shut down Fridays to make room for our Farmers Market and big band swing to ’50s rock and roll is part of our summer night series.

In the winter, although different, activities abound. Ice skating at the local pond (known as “the Muck”) is popular and includes bonfires, cocoa and smores.
Snow shoeing, cross-country skiing and a myriad of winter activities are also very popular.
Just a short drive to the Camden Snow bowl offers skiing on Ragged Mountain, tubing and winter toboggan races on the only community toboggan in Maine.
